We hope to see you at the New York Art Book Fair September 21-23! Keep your eyes peeled for a couple of Silk House artists!
Today, Stephanie E. Creaghan gifts us The Lenses Used to View Women edition 14.
Stephanie E. Creaghan is a Montreal-based writer, performance and video artist. Creaghan’s ongoing sound performance, Soeur Acéphale, makes use of her voice and a loop pedal to generate choir-like structures wherein she addresses toxic desire and violence presented under the guise of love and care. Les champs de la haine is a five-song structure that is a living-through of perfidy. Performed only once at the XX Files Pirate Radio Festival, the songs' choice words were pulled from Vanitati Majora, a collection of poetry recently published by Creaghan.
